Redwood Gardens is a senior and disabled community. We strive to provide the best quality services in our housing facility. This is a great place to live and everyone that comes to visit says the same.
Description:
We have 169 units, studios, and one bedroom apartments. small staff to handle office, and maintenance issues. Were located on the Clark Kerr Campus of UC Berkeley in the Claremont district. We are neighbors with the Claremont Hotel, so the residents sometime think they are staying there. Because of the quality treatment and services they are provided (smile) We have yoga classes, birthday celebrations, monthly meetings concerning health, and wellness. A foot doctor and RN that comes to handle medical concerns and provides blood pressure and medication review. yearly entertainment for the holidays. A Service Coordinator on staff, to help assist residents on maintaining their independence, and quality of life.
History:
We've been here since 1986, prior to that, Redwood Gardens was not around. The California School for the Deaf, had 9 apartments units here where deaf students lived.They moved to Fremont, Calif. And HUD approved funding for 160 apt.units which was built for low-income seniors and a disabled population.
