Martinez Early Childhood Center, Inc. will provide a quality child care and development program that is safe, warm and loving, with developmentally appropriate activities for children one year to five years old, with efficient administration, parent and community involvement, and support services for the children and families.
Description:
Martinez Early Childhood Center, Inc. is funded by the California Department of Education to provide quality early care and education, school readiness, for children of low income families in a full day program. Our program is in its 7th year of Accreditation by the National Association of the Education of Young Children.
History:
The center was incorporated in April of 1974, and is in its 30th year of operation. The site at 615 Arch Street was purchased using foundation grants in 1976. Over the years we continual work on program improvement and site renovation, as the site was built in 1939. A new facility was added to the site in 1981 to house the Infant-Toddler Program.
