Friends of the Pleasant Hill Library is dedicated to supporting the public library of Pleasant Hill.
Description:
We are a volunteer membership organization dedicated to supporting the Pleasant Hill Library. Our primary fund raising activities are quarterly used book sales and on-going (in the library) used book sales. Books are donated by the public and sorted and sold by members of the Friends of the Pleasant Hill Library. Income is used to support programs and to purchase materials and equipment for the Pleasant Hill Library.
History:
Friends of the Pleasant Hill Library have been supporting the public library for more than 35 years. Programs which would not otherwise be available due to limited funding are made possible because of fund raising and donations from the Friends of the Pleasant Hill Library. For example, Pleasant Hill Library was the first to have self check out machines due to help from the Friends, and the summer reading program is funded by the Friends.
