To provide recreational opportunities and resources to the surrounding senior community.
Description:
We are operated through the Pleasant Hill Recreation and Park District and offer activities, classes, services and resources to seniors in surrounding communities. Individuals 50 and over can become a member for $10 a year and receive our newsletter giving details of all upcoming events.
History:
The Pleasant Hill Senior Center was started in 1945 by Jenny Murphy who wanted a place where seniors could go to hang out and play cards. Since then the Senior Center has grown into over 2,000 members and 250 volunteers.
