Alameda County Child Abuse Prevention Council is dedicated to coordinating our community's efforts to prevent and respond to child abuse and neglect and to promote the physical and emotional health of children and families in Alameda County.

*Monthly Membership meetings to network and share information.
*Monthly clinical training presented at no cost to members
*Annual training regarding emerging issues.
*Child Abuse Prevention activities including the Blue Ribbon Campaign.
*Report on child death fatalities reported to the coroners.
*Resource/Video/Print Library available at no cost to members.
*Directory of Community resources.
*Development and distribution of public awareness materials.
*Active coordination and advocacy for abused and neglected children.
*Annual funding to community agency's working in child abuse prevention.
*Annual Alameda County Foster Care Holiday Party.
*Annual Children BackPack Fundrasier.
*Annual Adopt and Angel Program.
*Sherlly Eastman Foundation for Foster Children
History:
The Council is an organization established in 1978 to foster cooperative child protection efforts in Alameda County. To encourage and the development and coordination of county-wide children's services including child abuse and neglect identification, reporting, prevention, intervention, treatment, and public awareness.
