Save Mount Diablo's mission is to preserve Mount Diablo's peaks and surrounding foothills through land acquisition and preservation strategies. This effort is designed to protect the mountain’s natural beauty, integrity, and biological diversity; enhance our area’s quality of life and provide recreational opportunities consistent with protection of natural resources.
Description:
SHARE THE VISION: Consider for a moment the many faces of Mount Diablo…bold profile…cool, shady rock outcroppings…pine and oak woodlands…majestic views across a pattern of ridges. Then consider the vision of Save Mount Diablo, in the words of one of its founders: "My dream is that the whole of Mount Diablo, including its foothills, will remain in open space… that the visual and natural integrity will be sustained."
History:
Save Mount Diablo is proud of its 35 - year history and its efforts in helping increase natural lands on and around the mountain from 6,788 acres to more than 89,000 acres. Please check out our website for more information: www.savemountdiablo.org
