MISSION STATEMENT
The Adult Day Services Network seeks to promote adult day services throughout Contra Costa County in order to support and enrich the lives of seniors and people with disabilities, their families, and the community.
VISION STATEMENT
Through a collaborative Network of Providers, our vision is to encourage public knowledge and access to culturally appropriate day healthcare, social, and wellness services. By building a community for care, our Network of Providers offers quality of life to elders by allowing them to remain living in the community. The Adult Day Services Network of Contra Costa is committed to offering elders a home away from home and respite for the caregiver.
Description:
The Adult Day Services Network provides a centralized referral point - through the website, outreach, and information telephone line - for consumers to the 15 adult day services programs in Contra Costa. The Network supports adult day services programs with training opportunities, outreach and marketing, and technical assistance.
History:
A community needs assessment conducted in 2001 highlighted the tremendous shortage of programs to meet consumer need. The Network was developed in 2002 as a result of strong grass roots efforts. All 15 adult day services programs benefit from the Network and the volunteer Network Board of Directors are enthusiastic and dedicated to supporting these centers.
