The mission of Wesley Youth Homes, Inc. is to provide nurturing, care and support to teen-age girls who have been removed from their homes due to severe abuse and/or neglect. We believe that a supportive, safe living environment is the right of every child.
Description:
Wesley Youth Homes, Inc. currently operates one home in Concord that provides shelter for six teen-age girls. The average length of residency for our girls is currently 18 months. Our girls attend local high schools, and are provided with in-house tutoring and therapy services. Awake childcare counselors are on duty 24/7. Through the generosity of benefactors, our girls periodically have the opportunity to attend outside social and cultural events.
History:
Wesley Youth Homes, Inc. was founded over ten years ago. Our organization is highly respected by Contra Costa County social services, and has earned the high praise of the Contra Costa County Juvenile Justice Commission for the last three years.
