History:
- HOA incorporated in the State of California on March 25, 2004. Its corporate ID # is 2644398. It has also established a bank account with Bank of America to support its efforts.
- HOA staged muscle and custom car shows August 8, 2004 and May 21-22, 2005 in San Ramon, CA for the mutual purposes of publicizing its mission and to raise funds to help achieve its charitable mission. HOA intends to conduct such car shows on an annual basis. HOA has (and intends in the future to) staged these events with unpaid volunteers and administrated it through its directors. This activity requires about 20% of the total time annually devoted by all of the HOA directors to HOA.
- The directors of HOA perform speaking engagements and respond to interview requests about once a month in order to publicize the mission and promote contributions to HOA. Examples of the results of various speeches and interviews are attached as Addendum B to this document. This activity requires about 20% of the total time annually devoted by all of the HOA directors to HOA.
- HOA intends to conduct other specific fund-raising events approximately four times per year in order to help raise funds to help achieve its charitable mission. For example, HOA held a Casino/Dinner/Dancing night March 26, 2005 at the Blackhawk automobile museum in Danville, CA. Other possibilities include foot races, ski marathons or other such sporting events where pledges are gathered as a function of milestones achieved. HOA intends to stage these events with unpaid volunteers and administrate them through its directors; however the employment of various firms offering the specialized equipment and services required for a specific event (for example, for Casino night there was a casino equipment rental firm employed) may be contracted for by HOA. This activity requires about 35% of the total time annually devoted by all of the HOA directors to HOA.
- HOA intends to conduct a raffle, awarded on a periodic basis of approximately a quarterly basis for the winning of a classic car (obtained through donation) in order to help raise funds to achieve its mission. HOA has registered in order to conduct such raffles with California's Division of Charitable Trusts under the State Attorney General's authority, as required by applicable law. HOA has (and intends in the future to) performed this function with unpaid volunteers and administrated it through its directors. This activity requires about 5% of the total time annually devoted by all of the HOA directors to HOA.
- HOA has since March 2, 2004 (and intends to continue to do so on a ongoing basis) accepted donations for hats, t-shirts, car magnets, and other promotional items. HOA intends to procure such items from established and cooperative vendors of promotional products and to achieve at least a 50% excess of revenues over the expenses of purchase. This activity is intended to both publicize HOA's mission and to help raise funds to help achieve its charitable mission. HOA has (and intends in the future to) performed this function with unpaid volunteers and administrated it through its directors. This activity requires about 5% of the total time annually devoted by all of the HOA directors to HOA.
- HOA intends to register by July 2005 as a qualified recipient of contributions from buyer-loyalty programs such as Safeway's e-Scrip, Albertson's Community Partners and Raley's Quality of Life programs. HOA intends to publicize such affiliations in order to accelerate the contributions from these programs to support HOA's financial goals. This activity requires about 5% of the total time annually devoted by all of the HOA directors to HOA.
- Plan and conduct other fund raising activities as determined by HOA's directors. This activity requires about 5% of the total time annually devoted by all of the HOA directors to HOA.
