For one day, volunteers enter a classroom with their JA materials in hand and are ready to open the minds of the students to the world of work. Volunteers guide the classroom students through a series of 5 activities centered on workforce preparation, entrepreneurship, economics, citizenship, financial literacy, and leadership skills. Everything you need to teach the classes, from the activities to the materials for the students, are provided for you. You will receive support from local Junior Achievement staff members who will train and support you through the process. Volunteers must be able to commit to teach children from 8:00am-12:00pm at James Leitch Elementary on Friday, May 23, 2008. Volunteers should have an interest in working with children, and must not have a history of domestic violence or abuse. This opportunity is sponsored by: Junior Achievement Of The Bay Area
