Under the larger non-profit organization, Camp Fire USA, Kids With Dreams and Teens In Action are comprehensive youth development programs for youth ages 5-18 in West Oakland. During the school year, we operate our after-school program from 3-6pm daily and provide homework assistance, snacks, life-enrichment activities, recreational sports & games, and more!

Our volunteers make a significant difference in the effectiveness of our after-school programs and in the lives of Oakland's youth. The main role of our volunteers is offering academic assistance to our students. Through personal attention and homework support, our kids gain higher self-esteem and higher grades.

Our volunteers also have the opportunity to take part in engaging with our kids through activities, snack time and games. Whether you can offer one, two, or ten hours a week, we'd love to have you join us! If you aren't sure if you can commit, we invite you to come check out the program, meet some of the youth, and see if its a good fit for you.

Volunteers must be at least 18 years in age.
