Help set up used book sales
powered by United eWay
Last updated on November 27, 2007

Friends of the Pleasant Hill Library (FOPHL) needs assistance setting up and taking down their quarterly used book sales December 8, 2007, and March 1, June 7, September 13 and December 6, 2008. The book sales are major fund raisers for the Pleasant Hill/Central Library and members of FOPHL spend hundreds of hours sorting donated used books, but we need your help for an hour and a half Saturday morning and an hour and a half Saturday afternoon four times a year to get the boxes of sorted books moved from storage to tables for our quarterly sales, and then unloaded at the end of the day. Our book sales are held the first Saturday of March and June, the Second Saturday of September and the first Saturday of December. Volunteers are most needed from 7:30 to 9 am and from 3:30 to 5 pm the day of the sales.

Volunteers must be physically able to move boxes of books, load and unload dollies, set up tables and other moderately strenuous activity. No special training is required and the group is lots of fun to work with plus you get to see the array of books we have for sale and know that you are providing a valuable service to your local library.
