 Volunteers are needed to teach Kindergarten through 12th graders the JA programs during the school day for 30 to 45 minutes, once a week for 5 to 10 weeks. Or the JA Programs can be taught in one 1/2 day session (approx 3 hours). Programs vary per grade and range in themes of personal finance, workforce preparation, economics, starting a business, career exploration, and leadership skills. Training and materials with detailed lesson plans are provided. Volunteers must be available from the hours of 8:00 am and 3:00 pm for no more than 1 hour. Schools are located across the East Bay and we will place volunteers in a location that is close to their office or home. Ages 16 and older are welcome to apply. Volunteers may team up for this opportunity. Training and materials are provided. Visiting the classroom is great ways for the volunteers to talk about their jobs and become a role model to the students. This opportunity is sponsored by: Junior Achievement Of Northern California
