We need volunteers who are available once a week, Monday through Friday, between 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. That said, we'll happily work around your schedule in regard to day of the week. You'll be trained on one of our 17 routes and the route you drive may be anywhere from 7 to 20 miles in length. We try to keep them geographically as close as possible. Our pickup sites are in San Pablo where 12 routes go out each day, El Cerrito with 3 routes daily, Crockett with one route and Hercules with one route. You need your own insured vehicle, and a smile for our slowing clients.
It's helpful if you can lift a 20# Coleman container, but if you can't we'll lift it for you. Also being able to navigate stairs is important since our clients live independently and each home is unique. This opportunity is sponsored by: Meals on Wheels - West
