Help Save The Bay improve local bay habitat! Activities for this winter include planting native plants, plant propagation and transplanting, watering, and other maintenance associated with growing native wetland plants. Save The Bay's Community-Based Restoration program works with local schools and community volunteers to restore creek and wetland habitat around the Bay. Save The Bay and East Bay Regional Park District established this Wetland Native Plant Nursery in winter, 2003. To date, hundreds of volunteers have helped to collect seed and propagate over 9,000 native plants! Please call ahead, as sometimes we have to cancel due to weather or staffing issues.
No experience necessary. Families are welcome. Fulfills high school community service requirements. Please RSVP at 510-452-9261 x109 This opportunity is sponsored by: Save The Bay (Save The San Francisco Bay Assoc.)
