As a court volunteer, you will greet visitors in the court lobbies, answer common questions and provide directions to court departments. As a workshop assistant, you will help trained presenters put on their workshops that help people fill out their own court forms and follow court procedures. We provide 2 four-hour training sessions and a resource manual that provides answers to many of our visitors' questions. Volunteers must be 18, possess a valid California drivers license, have no recent criminal history and never been convicted of a felony. You will be asked to complete an application and an initial screening by members of the Courts Volunteer Program. We do ask volunteers to commit to a minimum of 4 hours of volunteer time a week.
