The Women's Daytime Drop In Center (WDDC) is a non-profit program addressing the needs of homeless women and children to ensure that they have a safe daytime refuge where they receive support, nourishing meals, and access to community resources to overcome homelessness and regain self-sufficiency. Volunteers can get involved with all aspects of our center. They help cook lunch, assist with our children's program, teach classes, and support the overall needs of our clients. We ask that you commit to at least one three/four hour shift per week - have a desire to connect with community and commitment to learning more about homelessness. Flexibility, comfort in a diverse and sometimes chaotic environment, and sense of humor a plus! This opportunity is sponsored by: Women's Daytime Drop-In Center
