Junior Achievement inspires and prepares young people to successfully participate in our economy through entrepreneurship, workforce development, and financial literacy.
Description:
Junior Achievement educates and inspires young people to value free enterprise, business, and economics to improve the quality of their lives. We do this by providing fun and interactive hands-on economic education in grades kindergarten through twelve delivered in classrooms by volunteer role models. Junior Achievement provides the materials(the curriculum is correlated to the State Content Standard for Social Studies)for the volunteer to use in the classroom, training for volunteers, and follow-up support for teachers and volunteers. The kids find that learning is fun and relevant to their future success in the world of work. Volunteers enjoy being role models who share from their experience while involving the students in hands-on activities provided in the materials.
