Call For Action empowers consumers by giving them a voice larger than their own. We strive to protect the consumer through mediation and intervention. Consumer education is provided about the most current consumer issues, such as fraud, scams, ID theft, online privacy, etc. Protection of the consumer is our ultimate goal.
Description:
Located in 25 cities across the nation, we offer consumer help locally as well as maintain a national telephone hotline in Bethesda, MD for areas not directly served by one of our affiliate offices. We offer a variety of special "expert nights" throughout the year that provide access to professionals to handle specific topics. Volunteers handle complaints that are received directly from consumers who have been ripped off, or have not received goods or services that were requested. We analyze the consumer's documents as well as research companies and agencies in order to assure that clients receive fair and impartial treatment. Resolution is achieved through telephone mediation.
