The American Stroke Foundation's mission is to support stroke survivors, their families, caregivers and friends by providing resources, services, education and information that improves their quality of life.
Description:
The American Stroke Foundation offers compassionate, but practical, knowledge and services in a comfortable, "home-like" environment. Through classes such as reading, writing, math, Those Darned Arms, One Handed in a Two Handed World, Music with Maggie, Survivor Support, and Fitness, stroke survivors get the continued assistance and support they need to reach their full potential. The American Stroke Foundation provides the missing link in the nurturing of stroke survivors and those who care for them. In a warm, hopeful environment, stroke survivors practice and apply skills to overcome their disabilities and get on with their lives.
