As Kansas City's only food bank, Harvesters' helps to feed nearly 60,000 people in 13 counties every week, through a network of more than 550 agencies, such as food pantries, soup kitchens and homeless shelters.
Description:
Harvesters' collects and distributes food and household products in 13 counties in the Greater Kansas City area. In addition, Harvesters' provides nutrition education through Project STRENGTH and Kids in the Kitchen classes, helps feed children in after-school Kid's Cafe programs and helps to educate the community on the issue of hunger.
