Battle Creek Area Habitat for Humanity requires no prior construction experience. We believe working on site can provide a valuable learning experience for those seeking basic building skills. Our crew works Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays from 9am until 4pm; our motto is, "come when you can and leave when you must." We do not require fees from any of our volunteers, but always encourage and accept donations to help eliminate poverty housing. Groups that are interested in volunteering should contact Jaime McManus @ 966-2502 to discuss possibilities. State law requires a minimum age of 16 years old to be on a build site. We also ask that our volunteer wear sturdy, closed toed shoes that you don't mind getting dirty, comfortable clothes and work gloves if they have them. Also be aware that much of the work is outdoors, so dress appropriately for the weather, including wind, rain, snow, or sun. Although we do some outdoor work in the winter months, we try and do most of the work inside. This opportunity is sponsored by: Battle Creek Habitat For Humanity
