 Iron Mission State Park Museum is looking for Docents for the Museum. (Docent: the corps of volunteer guides who staff museums and other educational institutions). Volunteers will be trained on background information on the Iron Works Homestead and Cedar City history as well as a variety of activities such as candle dipping, rope making, gold panning, pioneer dancing, as well as other pioneer themed tasks, with the intent that the trainee would then pass this information on to park visitors. We are looking for volunteers who are willing to volunteer on a long term basis, both now and over the coming months and years as the Iron Works Homestead develops. good communication skills, physically able to stand and walk around for long periods of time.
