People To End Homelessness is an advocacy group that includes a coalition of the homeless, formerly homeless, and students in the Providence area dedicated to ensuring shelter and/or affordable living space for everyone.
Description:
People To End Homelessness has a history of advocacy that includes ensuring proper living space for those who are currently homeless. In the wake of the demolition of Welcome Arnold (formerly the largest shelter in Rhode Island), People To End Homelessness has been dedicated to the expansion of programs that will ensure not just the mere provision of shelter, but also appropriate case management and services. We are currently in need of dedicated volunteers to staff Rosemary's Way, a new six-month transitional housing program along Chalkstone Avenue that will house twenty women.
