The Graceful Gourmet is an on-going fundraiser and mission outreach of Grace Episcopal Church, a registered 501-(c)(3) non-profit organization. We are a make and take meal business, running up to four sessions a month. The cash profit goes to Grace Church, and a number of meals are provided to needy people. The meals are designed to be low in fat, within specific calorie ranges, and kid friendly.

Description:
We are a make and take meal business run out of Grace Church. In the fall of 2006, The Graceful Gourmet began to offer our service free-of-charge to local families who qualify for food assistance through existing social services programs. The greater support we receive from the paying community, the greater our ability to offer our service to more needy families and individuals. Each eligible client must provide monthly volunteer hours back into the service. These volunteer hours allow us to expand the number of sessions offered, thereby expand the fundraiser and service more needy clients. Our goal is to service 50 clients in need per month.

History:
We began the business the spring of 2006, with a donation of funds and equipment from a private party. All of our staff are volunteers, mostly Grace Church members. We created the space, upgraded the church kitchen, recruited and trained staff, built a website, and began running up to four sessions a month. The cash profit goes to Grace Church, and a certain number of meals are provided to needy people.
