The Rhode Island Festival of Trees is a 501 (c) (3) charitable organization whose mission is to host and promote an enjoyable event that brings together family and community. The event will draw visitors to Providence to celebrate the holiday season and experience the rich arts & culture scene the city has to offer. The Festival of Trees will give back to the community in supporting The Rhode Island Coalition for the Homeless.
Description:
HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!!! November 30th - December 2nd, 2007 the Rhode Island Convention Center will be transformed into a winter wonderland filled with holiday magic. The Rhode Island Festival of Trees sponsored by Dunkin Donuts and supported by the Rotary Club of Providence will feature hundreds of sparkling, one-of-a-kind, professionally decorated holiday trees. The festival will also include a children’s activity area, daily scheduled entertainment, a festival marketplace and showcase of hand-crafted wreaths. We will open the event with a preview party on Thursday, November 29th with a live and silent auction. This years theme for the festival is "A Christmas Story”. You can visit our website for more information about this exceptional event to kick off the holiday season! And don't forget all trees and wreaths are for sale...with free delivery to your home or office.
History:
2007 will be the 4th annual event for the Rhode Island Festival of Trees. It has been a successful event each year with its contribution to the selected charity. This years selected charity is the Rhode Island Coalition for the Homeless. Nearly 10,000 visitors attended the 2006 event and we are hoping for more in 2007.
