We achieve our mission by providing individualized supports in the following settings: o Residential Group Homes o Community Supported Living Arrangements o Community Based Day Program Supports o Transitional Supports o Therapeutic Occupational, Physical, Psychiatric and Speech services Additionally, a main focus is to assist individuals with disabilities in recognizing and optimizing choices available to them within their lives.
History:
Living In Fulfilling Environments (L.I.F.E), Inc, is one of several private provider agencies in Rhode Island that provide services to adults with developmental disabilities. L.I.F.E., Inc. is a non-profit organization that has been providing supports for individuals with physical and developmental disabilities and their families throughout Rhode Island for the past 20 years.LIFE, Inc. is unique in its approach regarding work/employment opportunities. We offer training in areas of interest and abilities of the individuals, focusing on new learning experiences. They have become profit-sharing businesses, now known as a whole as B.R.A.S.S. Enterprises. The businesses include: Broadview Recycling, an Art center, and Snacks n’ Stuff. We have also established a café in a retirement apartment setting, a flea market business, and our newest venture being an urban art center.
