Our agency provides education on traumatic stress and also provides ongoing case management, referrals and peer support for trauma-affected persons.
Description:
C.A.R.R.S. provides services to both veterans and non-veterans. We work to educate the affected person and their family about the effects of traumatic stress and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). We seek out professional providers that understand and work with PTSD and provide the peer support and advice that comes from working with others in the same situation.
History:
We started the agency in December 2004 and held an office on Broad Street for two years. However, due to a limited amount of funding, we now work within an agency looking for our services and use donated space for group meetings.
