VIPS is a not-for-profit organization that provides Providence public school students with tutors and mentors. We believe all students can achieve and succeed in school.
Description:
Since 1963 VIPS has provided volunteer tutors and mentors to students throughout the Providence public school system. Tutors and mentors work with all age groups and in all academic areas. VIPS' new Technology and Learning Center is open days a week for students to drop in and receive homework help and to use the 2 computers for research and school work. The Center also has a variety of after-school clubs such as chess, science, business or another activity the students desire.
