The mission of Pawtucket Day Child Development Center is to provide comprehensive child care and social services to families living or working in the Blackstone Valley area.
Description:
Pawtucket Day is located in a modern one story 12,000 square foot structure that was designed for young children. The atmosphere is warm and friendly. The corridors are covered by murals of children and animals, and the classrooms are spacious, brightly lit and well-maintained. Our playyard is extremely large and designed for a full range of activities. To be sure all meals served - breakfast, lunch and snack - are healthy foods that children enjoy and a certified chef is on site.
History:
Pawtucket Day has a history of excellence. It was founded in 1892 by mill owners wives who saw a need to serve the children of widows and deserted women. The center has alway been in the Woodlawn section of Pawtucket, serving the neighborhood. Over time the ethnicity of the clients has changed but the quality of service offered has remained constant.
