In the quest to create a world without ALS,
our vision is to care for and support all people living
with Lou Gehrig’s disease as we leave no stone
unturned in our relentless search for a cure.
Description:
By providing information, support groups, equipment loans, handicapped transportation, respite, education, advocacy and support for the Louise Wilcox ALS Clinic and national research initiatives, no one will ever have to face this devastating disease alone.
History:
The Chapter was started in May, 1990 as a grassroots organization to raise funds and offer a variety of patient service programs that provide support to patients and families throughout their ALS journey. We are part of the National ALS Association that has 38 chapters nationwide.
