Pawtucket EMA recruits and trains the citizens of Pawtucket to be ready to assist in times of disaster. Areas of focus include disaster response, recovery, and education.
Description:
Pawtucket Emergency Management Agency in partnership with the RI Chapter of the American Red Cross are training volunteers for disaster relief. In the event of a city wide disaster or crisis, Pawtucket would need over 300 volunteers to operate our emergency shelters. Currently, Pawtucket has approximately 40 trained volunteers and another 40 partially trained. We need your help to ensure that Pawtucket residents are taken care of in a disaster or crisis!
