A New Leaf Florist Shop is a unique nonprofit agency providing employment and job training to people with psychiatric disabilities. The exceptional design skills of our staff and old fashioned value of our bouquets have established our success in the local, college, and corporate communities.
Description:
A New Leaf Florist Shop is located on Gano Street on Providence's East Side. It is a very unusual combination of a full-service florist and garden shop, and a nonprofit organization. The quality of the products are excellent, from floral arrangements and plants, to seasonal products, including all special events, from weddings and funerals, to bar mitzvahs and business functions. We strive to assist in improving the lives of all of our employees by encouraging the development of career goals and dreams via branching out into various opportunities of employment.
History:
A New Leaf Florist Shop is celebrating its twenty-fifth anniversary providing transitional/supportive employment for people, with a goal of assisting people to competitive employment. Over 1,000 people have worked there since it began!
