Organized in 1999, Rhode Island Free Clinic is a volunteer-staffed, community-based non-profit organization in south Providence offering high quality primary medical care and, with the support of area hospitals and medical practices, a full array of no and low cost medications, diagnostic and specialty services to adults without health insurance.
Description:
The clinic also provides community based education to the next generation of health practitioners through its staff of volunteer physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses, translators, pharmacists, and others. Rhode Island Free Clinic is funded solely by charitable donations.
