Position title: Board Of Directors Position
Description: Ready to volunteer for the environment? The Barrington Land Conservation Trust is Barrington's local non-profit organization dedicated to protecting and stewarding our local natural, scenic, historic open spaces. Our all-volunteer group manages over 60 properties encompassing nearly 250 acres. We offer educational opportunities and conduct a long running scientific study of endangered terrapins. We are currently expanding our Board and committees.

Our volunteers come from many backgrounds. Board members are expected to attend every Board meeting; we meet every other month from September through May and hold our annual meeting in June. Board members also need to be involved with a committee which may meet on alternating months. Because we are a growing, all volunteer organization, our volunteers on the board and on committees often fill roles that might otherwise be performed by staff. We have a great Board and group of volunteers to help you learn and we always look forward to the ideas and contributions new volunteers bring to our work.
