The Urban Collaborative Accelerated Program needs a few good men and women for its special events committee. Currently the school holds just two events a year which the committee plans and organizes: The Annual Walk-A-Thon and the "Accelerating the Pace of Change" on-line Silent Auction. This year's Walk-A-Thon will be held on Saturday May 17, from 9AM - Noon at the Hope High School track in Providence (rain location is Moses Brown indoor track). The Silent Auction, hosted on cMarket's Bidding for Good website, will be held on-line only from April 18 - May 18. The auction site provides a value-added bonus for corporate sponsors as the email distribution expands over the course of the auction. Committee members can help plan ways to improve and market both events, secure items for the auction, and/or open doors to potential sponsors. Meetings will be held as needed.
The only requirement to join this committee is a willingness to pitch in and have fun, and a desire to help inner-city kids get the education they need. This opportunity is sponsored by: Urban Collaborative Accelerated Program
