Golden Hill Development Foundation III, Inc. serves as administrator of the Golden Hill Paugussett Indian Tribe’s social and economic development plans to create programs to not just help Native Americans, but include some of the economic and socially depressed residents of the greater New Haven, Connecticut community.
Description:
We administer a series of programs to help underemployed, low-income Native Americans and members of the larger community train for and find jobs. We also assist in a variety of services that can help them keep a job.
Other areas we help with include emergency food bank, clothes bank, child-care and youth-at-risk programs. We are also in the development stages of opening a museum, library, and culture educational center; we shall also publish a monthly newsletter.
We refer clients to other agencies, as necessary.
