To develop a partnership of Greater Danbury Churches and Christ-centered "word and deed" ministries into a sustainable and transforming cross cultural force for the common good of all in Danbury.
Description:
The Partnership serves as an umbrella organization. Jericho partners with churches and faith-based organizations through the mobilization of funds, facilities and volunteers. Serving as a central point of contact, Jericho recruits, screens, and orients volunteers for the various Partners. Once connected, volunteers will serve directly with the Partner contact for ongoing training and supervision.
History:
The Jericho Partnership, a 501(c)3, Public Charity, has its roots in the Jericho Project, a renovation project in Danbury led by the Cambodian New Life Evangelical Church, the Christian Community Outreach Ministry (CCOM) and the Maranatha Foundation from 1995-2005. Upon completion of the Project, the Jericho Partnership was incorporated and participation expanded to include three area churches and one additional foundation. Nine Jericho Ministry Partners are now supported to varying degrees by the Partnership.
