The Hunt Hill Farm Trust is a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving the farm's land, environment, buildings and archives; promoting public awareness of its unique history; celebrating Americana in music, art & literature; providing educational opportunities for children & adults; and through the creation of a Living Museum, share the rich life & legacy of Skitch & Ruth Henderson.

Description:
Hunt Hill Farm, a Smithsonian Affiliate, is home to the Silo Cooking School, the Skitch Henderson Museum and the Silo Gallery. As of 2004, the efforts of the Hunt Hill Farm Trust have been to preserve: our land (as part of a 524 acre land corridor in Northwestern Connecticut), our ten buildings which are on the National Historic Register, the Skitch Henderson Museum, and the wealth of cultural activities that take place here at Hunt Hill Farm.
We are managed by a Board of Directors, and operate with a small staff, and the assistance of many volunteers. There are many volunteer opportunities here at Hunt Hill Farm - anything from gardening, to assisting in classes; staffing events to docent work in the museum.

History:
The Hunt Hill Farm Trust was founded in 2004 by Ruth & Skitch Henderson as part of their mission of preservation. In record time, Hunt Hill Farm was accepted as a Smithsonian Affiliate (the Skitch Henderson Museum is the only museum to hold that status in the state). Hunt Hill Farm has a sincere connection to the community, and partners with many area organizations to foster preservation and offer cultural events. Now in its third year, the Hunt Hill Farm Trust Family membership is growing, and more and more opportunities present themselves each day. All we need are volunteers to help turn these wonderful possibilities into realities!
