F.A.I.T.H. stands for Food Assistance; Immediate, Temporary Help. It is an ecumenical emergency food service for residents in Newtown.
Description:
The Food Pantry is completely volunteer and non-profit. Most of our food is donated or purchased with donated funds. The only requirement for using our services is that the client must show proof of residency in the town of Newtown. Our goal is to help those residents who do not qualify for many of social services programs but who still need a helping hand. Once a month our clients receive a generous amount of groceries which should feed their family for at least one week.
History:
The F.A.I.T.H. Food Pantry began almost twenty years ago and has continued to provide food for many families in Newtown. The numbers of people using the Pantry has continued to increase greatly due to increased population and economic changes in the area.
