Bethel Health Care Center is a rehabilitation center devoted to providing its patients with a health care resource which provides quality care in an enviornment of security and elegance by caring, highly trained professionals. Volunteer opportunities are available in all Departments with both short term rehabilitation patients and long term skilled care residents.
Description:
Bethel Health Care Center provides rehabilitation in a state of the art facility. Services provided include physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, nutrition & dietary services, therapeutic recreation activities, social services, and more. A new facility (which is attached to the current building) is under construction. Its estimated opening is the Fall of 2003. The new facility promises beautiful grounds complete with water fountains, ponds, and horticulture therapy. The facility will include short term rehabilitation services, a step-down unit for rehabilitation patients, assisted living, hospice services, independent apartments. Opportunities for volunteers are extensive and available in every Department with patients in all settings.

Bethel Health Care Center opened its doors in 1994. It introduced a state of the art health care resource commmited to providing excellent quality care in an enviornment of security, elegance, and warmth with a highly trained caring staff to the Greater Danbury area. The Bethel Health Care Center has an outstanding reputation for its rehabilitation services. Bethel Health Care Center provides numerous volunteer opportunities in all Departments for both students and adults. The Summer Volunteer Candy Stripe Program has been in existence for 9 years and attracts 75 - 100 students each summer.
