To promptly provide assistance to teachers and students as needed.
Description:
To provide parent, community or business volunteers as classroom speakers in areas requested by teachers. To provide parent, community or business volunteers as science and/or business mentors or tutors to students in need. To provide other assistance to staff and students as may be needed.
History:
The parent and community volunteer program has been in existence at Danbury High School since early 1985. Starting slowing, with eight volunteers, helping in areas such as the library and assisting with mailings it has since grown to over fifty volunteers assisting students and teachers in numerous areas.
