First Night Danbury is a New Year's Eve, alcohol-free, family celebration of the arts in downtown Danbury, Connecticut.
Description:
First Night Danbury is a non-profit, all volunteer agency which exists for the sole purpose of providing residents of Danbury and the surrounding area an alcohol-free evening of fun and entertainment for the whole family each New Year's Eve. First Night Danbury is one of only three First Night celebrations left in Connecticut. Danbury's First Night celebration will take place on Monday, December 31st from 4 to 8:00 p.m. Celebrate "Midnight at 8" with us in the many venues that center around the Danbury Green. Primarily a family event, there will be something for everyone ages 2 to 100. The evening will end with the annual Hat & Mask parade around the Green and the Fireworks at 8:00 p.m.
History:
First Night Danbury began in 1989 and is today is part of the largest all volunteer First Night Celebration of the Arts in the country.
