ARC works to facilitate interfaith cooperation in the Greater Danbury area. ARC works to advance justice, respect and compassion while seeking to eliminate the causes of violence, suffering and hate. ARC supports education, advocacy and social services identified as too broad for any one religious community to address or sustain on its own.
Description:
ARC's programs include advocacy on issues of immigration, domestic violence counseling, anger management groups, affordable private counseling, housing advocacy and support. ARC is run by a multi-faith Board of Directors representing the religious community in the Greater Danbury area.
History:
ARC was founded thirty years ago as a collaborative effort among area clergy to meet the needs of the community that were too large for any one congregation to meet.
