Volunteer Opportunities for Western Connecticut

We are a nonprofit organization that matches volunteers with residents of elder care facilities or with those who are home bound and have no regular visitors. This opportunity has a flexible schedule and requires no special skills. You can play cards or games, do puzzles, read aloud or simply talk. The positive impact you will make is immeasurable to your friend and perhaps to you. Just a minimum of two hours per month will help change a lonely persons life.

To begin, an application is completed followed by an interview. Then a brief orientation is given by the Program Administrator. Specific requirements of the different facilities we work with must then be fulfilled, ie., application, training, etc... The volunteer must have their own transportation.
