Volunteer Mentors are invaluable to our community!! They are matched with a Mom or Dad in the greater Danbury area to assist in providing support, advocacy and assistance in the hope of helping the family "get back on their feet." Each mentor is matched with an individual who is in need of assistance. For example, there may be a single mom who is feeling overwhelmed with her many daily tasks and needs a listening ear and help with her budget. The Volunteer Mentor could be such a help but being a good listener, helping with the budget and by helping locate resources in the area that would help the family. We require an interview, a day long training, one hour a week to meet with the person they are matched with and on-going supervision. This opportunity is sponsored by: Danbury Regional Child Advocacy Center
We need volunteers who are free at these times
