The Danbury Symphony Orchestra rehearses each Monday evening during the months of September through May, as well as two rehearsals in June. The orchestra needs a librarian to organize, distribute, and collect music assigned to musicians in the orchestra. The job may also include copying music, lifting boxes of music, attending Monday night rehearsals, attending concerts, keeping attendance sheets, registering new musicians, and calling musicians who have not returned music, etc. Training will be provided. Some knowledge of instruments of the orchestra is necessary. There are few limitations on who may volunteer to do this job. One needs the ability to lift about 10 lbs., stand for periods of time, use a copy machine, and have Monday nights free from 7:30 to 10pm. This opportunity is sponsored by: Danbury Music Centre
