Like the idea of mentoring but your schedule doesn't allow for weekly or every other week get togethers? Well, you can still have contact with youth who are awaiting a mentor through the activities Good Friend provides. Quarterly the A-Team meets to plan activities. Members attend activities as their schedule allows. What do we do? In the past we have had community service projects, crafts, skiing, skating, window painting, cookie baking, camping, hiking, swimming... For many it is also the easier way to start the process of becoming a mentor - dipping your toe in the water before you jump in.
Anyone 18 or older who successfully completes our screening can become an A-Team member. A 6 hour training is required (don't worry - it is both fun and informative). Also, we ask that volunteers attend an orientation session that is held on the second Wednesday of each month from 7-8:30 PM at the Good Friend office.

Crossing Main Street puts you onto Liberty Street. The office is located at the corner of Main and Liberty (you will see a sign over the awning and a neon sign in the window).
