[ View Opportunity ]
Last updated on May 22, 2008

Every year we have several fund raisers, this year we will have our 21st Puttin' on the Dog festival on September 21st, 2008 at Roger Sherman Baldwin Park in Greenwich, CT from 10am-5pm. WE NEED VOLUNTEERS THAT DAY AND THE DAY BEFORE TO HELP WITH THE FUN AND EXCITING EVENT. This is the biggest and most fun event done at exit 3 in Greenwich, Ct all year long. everyone has a great time, either volunteering or bringing their dog and entering in a ring, best kisser etc.

Description:
For the past 26 years Adopt a Dog has successfully rescued thousands of dogs and cats and placed them in loving homes. Within the last several years we have opened our own shelter where we house, feed and take care of medical problems until we find permanent homes. We are a non profit organization and rely on donations and grants. We rely on volunteers to help us.

History:
In 1981 Donna Nives , Gloria Scheuer and Pam Fahnestock became increasingly concerned about the growing number of dogs that were spending the better part of their lives in pounds.
Adopt a Dog has evolved over the past 26 years into a unique not for profit placement service dedicated to finding good homes for our dogs and cats that come from all over.
