The Pound Ridge Theatre Company was founded in 1987 by a group of local residents dedicated to giving the community the very best in theatrical productions. It remains our commitment as we prepare for our 22nd consecutive season.
Description:
We perform at Conant Hall, located on Route 137 in Pound Ridge, NY., a historical landmark church with an intimate stage and cabaret-style seating. Each season we present on two full length plays and several staged readings. We are composed of people with a passion for theatre - actors, directors, producers, set designers/workers. We welcome people who love to work on scenery, props, costumes, and backstage management. There's something for everyone!
History:
Over the past 21 years PRTC has produced THE DIARY OF ANNE FRANK, WHO'S AFRAID OF VIRGINIA WOOLF?, PROOF, ORDINARY PEOPLE, FIVE WOMEN WEARING THE SAME DRESS, SYLVIA and this season DINNER WITH FRIENDS - as well as many other well known, lesser known, and unique plays. This season we will feature staged readings of original work by local playwrights.
